He had smelled in many a time since he got here but it seemed as he got bigger the smell became stronger.
He opened his eyes and saw the source of the intoxicating smell was his mid day meal. Several thick steaks just lying there waiting for him. To thew left of the meat the only other occupant was already halfway through hers and showed no signs of being full.
Again he got the unpleasant sensation of his stomach growling painfully. It wasn't enough that he had eaten the same amount just two hours before but he now felt again like he hadn't eaten in days. His brain was telling him that he didn't need to eat the steaks right now just because they were there. Back home he was lucky to get one steak's worth of meat a day and his stomach didn't growl then.
His stomach however seemed to become a lot more vocal than in Africa and seems to think it's in charge now. It was churning and growling very loudly which was giving the fat and torpid young cheetah the worst hunger pains any big cat had ever had.
He couldn't give in less be just like Nala.
Yet those steaks were calling out to be eaten.
