Despite his new condition, the week spent under Nala had left him much heavier, and fairly stiff, the cheetah perservered with his exercise, despite his body's protests. Of course, he was no where near as fit as he had been before, but that would come later, for now he just wanted to exercise as hard as possible.

When Epesi finally laid down he was pleased with his effort, he'd managed a total of five laps of the enclosure, and while it wasn't muck for a fit cheetah, it was definitely a good, start. Finally allowing himself to relax, he let his digestion take over, and was soon fast asleep.

Epesi woke to a noise at the edge of the enclosure, and out of curiosity, went to look. As it turned out, the next meal had arrived. He was about to tuck in, when he realised that Nala wasn't with him yet, and so he thought about giving her some of him meat, both so he wouldn't eat as much, and so Nala couldn't trick him like she had done the last time.
