Nala awoke several for several hours, but the sweet scent of a fresh catch caused her to stir. She got to her feet, though she felt it take a bit more effort than normal. When she opemed her eyes she could see her gut wasn't as large as it had been before her nap, but now it wasn't crammed with food. Instead it had a new layer of fat added thanks to the fat gazelle she got from Scar. Taking a moment to look the rest of herself over in a puddle she could see that the rest of her was thickening out too. She could even see a slight roundness in her face. She did her best not to look pleased, but she could hardly believe how beautifully fat she was becoming and so fast at that. She could hardly await her next meal as it was already being divided between the other lions.

When Nala reached the food she looked at her portions with disgust on her face. There was such a meager amount that she could eat through it without satiating her hunger that increased the more she looked at it.

"Hello, dear," Sarafina said as she approached her daughter. "The hunt didn't go so well today, but we managed to find enough food for everyone. I made sure to get you a larger chunk since you didn't eat earlier."

Nala thanked her mother for thinking about her and began eating her food. When she finished she looked at the remains of the catch, but it had already been picked clean. Nala had no choice, but to wait until she got a chance to get away. She figured those other gazelles were still with Scar and just the thought that they could all be hers made her mouth water. Time passed as everyone finished their meals and eventually turned in. Soon Nala saw her mother do the same and once she was certain it was clear, she snuck away and made a v line to Scar's place. She didn't care about the dangers of wandering off alone or what might happen if she was found missing and the consequences that were sure to come. All she wanted to do was eat and eat and eat and grow fatter and fatter.
