Nala didn't have much of a choice of whether or not she could leave the cave anymore. All she had was the choice to eat and with an empty belly that made the answer simple. She ate slowly, afraid of the Hyenas above. They let out wicked cackles that made her wonder if they were about to attack her or if they were trying to simply scare her. Whatever the reason they didn't so much as lay a paw on her. In time they wander around a bit, getting bored with her just staring at them. They didn't even need to watch her as escape was already impossible. With them gone she went back to her meal.

As day turned to night or night to day, since Nala quickly lost track of time in the cave, Nala wondered what her family was doing. Were they looking for her or had Scar already tricked them with some sort of lie. Whatever the case, Nala never felt so alone. She eventually grew tired and decided to fall asleep.

When she awoke, she quickly remembered her situation and paced around her pit of a home, checking to see if the hyenas were still about. They were, though most were lazing around, bored. Nala had always been taught to be fearful of the beasts, but after being at their mercy for so long and not being harmed she felt somewhat relaxed around them. She even lost some of her fear and hate for her uncle since he did seem to go through all the trouble to get all this food for her. As Nala's mind raced through all this information, she realized she was hungry again and started eating again, but before long she found she had just about run out. Nala knew Scar told her she could ask for more, but was he being serious. She nervously tried to get one of the hyena's attention.

"Uh, Mr. Hyena." she began.

"I'm not a Mr." replied the hyena Nala was trying to talk to who was apparently a female. "My name is Gina."

"Hello, Gina." Nala said. Nala was surprised by how friendly she acted towards her. If the circumstances were different they could've become friends. It seemed even possible that they could become friends even now. "Uh, I'm almost out of food and Scar said I could ask for more."

"More food?" replied Gina. "Don't worry, a few of the others went out earlier. They should be back soon. We figured you might need more soon."

Nala became excited by her words and replied with a loud, "Thank You!" Her voice echoed through the cave. Nala felt embarrassed and the hyenas all gave their usual chuckled that seemed less sinister to Nala and more like a heartful laugh to her ears. Nala was actually beginning to like it in the cave like it was a second home and though it was dark, she felt her future was going to be bright.

Days passed and became weeks and then months as Nala spent her time eating, sleeping, and having chats with Gina and the other hyenas. Her schedual of doing those things was whenever she felt like it since a normal schedual by what time of day it was didn't apply to her sunless life. She had grown very fat through her meals and lack of exercise. The feedings grew even more intense as well. They had to fill the pit up with so much food to satisfy Nala eventually that they buried her alive. They'd all laugh hysterically upon seeing her like that and Nala had grown to love their laugh. She even developed a laugh of her own, but it sounded so wierd it made the hyenas laugh even more. When Scar made his daily visits to see Nala or at least how big she was, Nala was just as friendly with him as with all the others.

"How is my little princess" he would always begin with.

As he looked Nala over, her gut had made her lose ground clearance a while ago. Her feet were coverd by flab. Her tail a thick sausage and much shorter because of her obese rump that had comsumed most of it. The hyenas laughed at her past attempts to try and wag it. Her chins had doubled then tripled before she lost count of them. her face was much rounded, swollen with fat. If it wasn't talking to the hyenas or eating, it was resting on her bed of chins. Nala was practically a ball of fat.

It eventually became a problem keeping her in the pit, however, as her home was becoming too snuck. It took a lot of work, but after tying vines to Nala and filling the pit with water, they managed to get her out. From there, she was able to see more of the cave, but it was still just a whole lot of dark. Still, it felt like she was moving into a new home, closer to her friends, which was true since she got to eat with them now. They even enjoyed feeding her themselves, trying to see if they could even get Nala full. Nala always won of course.

Nala loved it there and could never imagine living anywhere else.
