Even though Kiara's leg was now strong enough to walk, she didn't really change her daily routines. If anything, her appetite grew, and as a result Kiara grew.
It now took so much effort to get up on her own that she usually didn't bother getting up or asked someone to help her. Standing up her belly spread out under her, touching the ground and weighing Kiara down. She couldn't really lift her tail anymore, just swing it a bit from side to side. Overall she looked like a real butterball. When she moved, which she rarely did, she only managed about 5 metres before her legs started to hurt and she got out of breath. Kiara didn't seem worried about her declined mobility, and after a while Nala decided to have a talk with her.
"Kiara, would you like to get up?"
"Oh, mum...I'm not sure...I just ate..."
"Kiara, you eat all the time so that's not an excuse. Come on, let's get you up a bit."
"Ok then...can you help me?"
"Sure honey."
Kiara pushed with all her might, and Nala lifted her from behind. Simba came to help, and together they got Kiara standing up. Tha fattened cub was quite a sight, her fat jiggling. "Phew....that was hard...."Kiara panted, her legs quivering from the effort. Nala gave Simba a concerned look, but Simba didn't seem to notice. He left to continue his kingly duties and Nala was left alone with Kiara.
"Listen Kiara, I think you should consider losing some weight. You can't even stand up on your own, let alone run. It's not healthy."
"Mum! I'm the princess and I don't have to run!"
"I can't make any decisions for you, but I can help you lose weight if you want to."
