Kiara awoke to her grandmother's voice telling her to wake up. She groaned and opened her eyes.

"What's going on, grandma?" she asked with a big yawn.

"Good morning, dear!" Sarafina replied. "My breakfast just arrived, and I was hoping that you could finish last night's leftovers and then join me."

Kiara had fallen asleep right up against the hippo, so she looked over what remained of it. There was maybe a fourth of the animal left, which was still quite a hefty portion, but even after her massive binge last night, Kiara was hungry again. She settled in to eat, and Sarafina watched her, smiling.

It was delicious as it had been the previous night, but she hadn't really digested that meal, so a quarter of a hippo was a lot for her. Nonetheless, she managed to finish it all, groaning slightly from how full she was.

"Thanks, grandma," she said. "That was really good."

"I'm glad you enjoyed it," Sarafina replied. "Now, are you ready for breakfast?" She dragged a zebra to where Kiara could reach it, tearing a leg off for herself. "Eat up." Kiara groaned.
