Kiara felt like she was gonna die if she had to exert herself any more. On the other hand, if she was going to gain enough weight to really make her mother angry, she had to eat, especially since she'd burned so much energy coming here.

"I'd love to," she gasped.

She rolled shakily to her feet, but Sarafina stopped her, saying, "Go ahead and lie down. You've had more than enough excercise for one day, I think, so I'll bring dinner to you. Don't go anywhere," she joked.

Kiara laid back down, immensely grateful that she didn't have to move. And her mood only improved when her grandmother dragged an eland out to her.

"Eat as much as you want, dear. I would never be able to finish this by myself."

Kiara's exhaustion seemed to melt away as she gulped down chunks of the eland, barely bothering to chew in her haste to eat. Oh, she still didn't relish the thought of getting up, of course, but she didn't have any trouble eating. As she devoured the huge antelope, her stomach expanded, and eventually she had to shift onto her front to stop her legs from falling asleep. Laying on her belly reinforced just how huge it really was. Kiara imagined every bit of it turned to jiggling fat, and she wished her mother could see her now. Despite the cub's best efforts, Nala managed to enforce some modicum of portion control at home, but the eland Sarafina had given her must have weighed three quarters of a ton.

That was far more than Kiara could eat at once, but she did her best, eating more than half of it before she was forced to stop. Even then, she continued nibbling at the remaining meat, partly to test her limits and partly because it was just so good.
