Kiara spent a happy week with her grandmother, stuffing herself until she couldn't eat another bite--and that line was getting farther away all the time. She didn't know where Sarafina was getting so much food, but since it meant that she could eat as much as she wanted, she didn't much care.

Sarafina was nice enough to always bring food to Kiara, rather than making Kiara come to the food, so Kiara stayed in the same place the whole week. As a result, she didn't fully know how well her "gain weight on purpose" plan was succeeding. Her stomach, which had been big when she'd arrived, was truly a sight to behold now, constantly growing from the huge feasts Kiara forced into it. It lifted her legs outward until she could only touch the ground with her toes if she strained them downward, and at the rate she was going, it wouldn't be long before they lost ground contact altogether. Her back fat was beginning to encroach on them from the top, and the limbs themselves were fast becoming toneless and flabby, just repositories for all the fat she was gaining instead of a viable means of locomotion.

After a week of this blissful existence, Kiara was shocked to see Nala stride into the den.

"Mother!" Nala called angrily. "Do you have any idea where K--" at that moment, she noticed her daughter. "Kiara!" she hissed. "I've been looking everywhere for you!"
