Nala decided that she couldn't in good conscience tell Kiara that she was going to try to gain a little weight. She still didn't actually approve of how much Kiara had gained, and she didn't want the cub to think that she was totally okay with Kiara being immobile.

That meant that she had to hide her revised eating habits from her daughter, though that wasn't honestly too hard. Kiara barely moved these days, so as long as Nala took her meals out of the cub's direct line of sight, she was safe.

Nala was having more trouble with the gaining itself. She was naturally a very active lioness, and her body rebelled at the thought of getting fat, still feeling a deep-seated need to be thin and tend to her duties as queen.
