Simba was, of course, not really oblivious to Nala's gain. As a matter of fact, he had been dreaming about seeing her like this, but he knew that she was sensitive about it, so he had to proceed cautiously. The last thing he wanted was for her to catch on to the fact that he was trying to fatten her up, so, while he brought back a large variety of animals to feed her, the only thing he actually brought up to her was a small gazelle.

She thanked him and devoured the thing within minutes. Simba could hear her stomach continuing to rumble; it would take a lot more than a measly gazelle to fill that thing up. Still, he played dumb.

"Are you sure that's all you want?" he said innocently. "I brought this other one in case you were still hungry..." he carried out another gazelle, no bigger than the first. Nala eyed it dubiously, trying to ignore her stomach's dissatisfaction.
