Shenzi looked up with interest as a series of noises made its way down one wall of the cave, then an opening appeared. Another time she might have tried to make an escape, but right now she knew she just wasn't fast enough. In any case, the opening didn't last long, just enough for the mysterious jailers the dump in a stunned jackal, before it disappeared.

Shenzi turned to watch the jackal, It wasn't moving at all, but it was breathing, so at least it was alive.

After a while, the Jackal woke up and looked around, quickly focussing on Shenzi and backing away, obviously scared. This dismayed the hyena just a bit, so she tried to think of ways to gain its confidence.
