The doctor was really excited...a bit too excited in Kiba's opinion. There was enthusiastic and then there was just plain WEIRD. Kiba half expected to see some guy wearing swirly eyed glasses with wild hair cackling about some experiment while lightning flashed in the background. He stopped walking towards the exit and blinked. "Man, I've got to stop watching those late night monster movies..." He muttered to himself, shaking his head.

Just as he was about to reach the door, something on the corner of a table caught his eye. He turned and saw a strange glass vial filled with green liquid set carefully in a rack. Strangely, despite the rack having spots for at least nine other vials, it was the only one there. Curious, Kiba walked over to it and, after making sure no one was paying attention, grabbed it. He turned it over in his fingers, examining it. It was sealed shut with not only a sturdy looking cork but also a fair amount of wax, holding the cork firmly in place. A piece of masking tape been wrapped around the small glass tube, hastily written black letters scribbled on it proclaiming: EX. 001. It didn't really look any more special than any of the other vials full of colored liquid scattered around the lab, so why was this particular one singled out? Kiba shrugged and was about to put it back when he remembered what the doctor had said. They were developing a chemical that could...uh...reverse muscle...something...deter...deterioration! That was it! In other words, they were making something that made muscles grow! Kiba grinned as he closed his fist around the vial. There was a very good chance that this was that same chemical! Kiba was not a scrawny weakling by any stretch of the imagination. His body was as toned and fit as any other ninja around, more so in fact when compared to several of his ninja brethren! But how could he let an opportunity like this pass? Why just settle for athletic when he could be more? Kiba could just imagine the stupid look on Naruto's face when he came back form his mission to find Kiba totally jacked, his pecs barely contained by his net under shirt, his biceps bigger than melons, his abs so rock hard that Naruto would hurt his hand just trying to punch it, his legs...

Kiba looked down and noticed that he was starting to sport a pretty sizable tent in his pants. The possibilities of having that kind of power was really turning him on...That pretty much settled it. He pocketed the vial and quickly left, hoping that no one would notice the vial was missing until it was already too late.

The dog ninja was eager to get back home and try out this chemical, but he had a duty to perform yet. He had to report to Tsunade that he had completed his mission. He quickly ran towards the Hokage's Mansion, hoping to get this whole thing over with as fast as possible.

As Kiba made his way to the Mansion, a young intern doctor who was just getting started today, was desperately searching for the vial that Kiba had stolen. He had a frantic look on his face as he tried to find where he had placed it. He had made sure to put it someplace where it wouldn't get lost but the rack he had left it in was now empty! "Oh man..." He thought miserably to himself. "If I don't find that sample I'm going to be in big trouble!"

"Boy! Where is the vial?" The head doctor called out. He made a habit of never remember anyone's name. If you were lucky, you got a nickname. Otherwise you were just "Boy!" or "Girl!".

"I-I can't find it sir!" The intern admitted. "It seems to be missing!"

"Missing?! Egads boy! Do you understand how important that vial is?"

"With all due respect sir, this is my first day! If it was that important why was I--"

"Silence you ignorant twit!" The doctor shouted, smacking the boy across the face. "Just find the vial!"

"Sir, you promised you would stop doing that to the interns..." A female doctor said, quietly admonishing the head doctor.

"Ack! I'm surrounded by insubordination and incompetence!" The doctor shouted, stamping his foot. "This is the culmination of my life's work and you all act as though it was a baking soda and vinegar volcano! That vial was the first and currently only dose of my muscle restoring chemical! We haven't even performed any tests on it yet! If we don't find it then all of this will be for nothing!" He grabbed a lead pipe and started smashing things indiscriminately. "Nothing! Nothing! Nothing!"

"Sir, please calm down! Remember your blood pressure!" The female doctor shouted, chasing after him with a needle. "Someone hold him down! I have a sedative!"

Back outside, Kiba groaned as he exited the Hokage Mansion. Tsunade had forced him to fill out a bunch of paper work relating to the roots and leaves he had gathered, so that the Nara Clan (the roots and leaves had been gathered on their property) would know what and how much was taken. But he was finally free and that was what mattered! He swiftly started running towards his house, the vial safely stored inside his pocket. He was about halfway to his home when he stopped to land on the roof of a store. He was starting to have some second thoughts...going to his house (where his whole family would be) might not be the best plan, especially if he was going to be taking some weird chemical. It would probably be best to go somewhere else...but where?
