Naruto knew that as long as he held onto his feelings for Sakura, he would never truly be able to move on from Konoha, and that left the possibility of Naruto doing something idiotic like returning to this god forsaken place where Sakura and Tsunade could just betray him again.

The other villages all seemed like ok places to move, but Suna offered Naruto the best chance to get over Sakura- Temari. Naruto had a crush on Temari since he ran into her and her brothers back before the chunin exams started. Her beauty was second only to Sakura's, and she had a fiery spirit. Naruto honestly could never figure out why Shikamaru ended up choosing Ino over Temari.

It would also be nice to be able to hang out with Gaara all the time. Gaara and he were close friends since they understood each other's pain, but Gaara always lived in Suna while Naruto lived in Konoha. So the two really only saw each other two or three times a year.

Naruto grinned. Suna would be the perfect place for a new start. He took one more glance at the unconscious body of the two women who betrayed him, and the grey-haired man who had trained and tried to help him. Naruto would really miss Kakashi. And even though he shouldn't after what they did to him... He would miss Sakura and Tsunade too.

"Goodbye." Naruto whispered. He took off and ran out the village gates. He didn't bother looking over his shoulder to get one more glance of Konoha, Naruto Uzumaki is only looking forward now.
