A now nicely dressed knocked on the door to Sakura's house. A small part of him was absolutely disgusted with himself for crawling back to Sakura. He knew that any sane, self-respecting person would consider what Sakura did to him as unforgivable. But Naruto could not NOT forgive Sakura. He loved her too much to stay angry at her. And that small part of himself was disgusted with that love.

Not liking where his thoughts were going, Naruto reflected on how surprised he was that Sakura was actually going on a date with him...for real this time. But that small part of Naruto wouldn't leave him be. That small part of Naruto suspected this was another trap Sakura was luring him into. Just a few hours ago she did attempt to strip him of his hopes and dreams...

Naruto gulped. Now that he was standing here at her door, that small untrusting part of himself wa making more and more sense. Sakura's mocking smile and laughter suddenly passed through Naruto's mind. That was not the smile or laugh of someone who cared about him.

"Shit...why am I just now catching on to this..." Naruto swore under his breath. He had no idea what Sakura had planned, but he didn't want to find out. His heart may have screamed for him to crawl back to Sakura, but his brain really didn't want to fall into another trap. And for once in his life, Naruto's brain beat his heart.

He turned around and prepared to sprint out of the village. He coiled his legs to take off just as he heard the door open.

"Shit!" Naruto swore.
