Cold fear gripped Sakura as she sprinted towards Naruto's apartment. She had never been this terrified in her life. She chided herself for how stupid she was. Deep down, she knew she was in love with Naruto, but she just ignored it, considering it impossible for her to fall in love with him. If she lost him now...

No, that's not going to happen... Sakura declared to herself.

Even as she moved faster than she ever had in her life, Naruto's apartment was still a bit of a trek from the hospital. It took her 10 minutes to reach his place.

Her fear only increased as she approached his door. Ino told her that she saw Naruto on her walk to work... then it took Sakura 10 minutes to get to his apartment...

Sakura didn't even bother knocking, she just knocked down Naruto's door. He wouldn't need it after all, he was hers and he would never live in this place again. As she walked into his somewhat messy apartment she was greeted by the smell of ramen and blood.

"Oh god... oh god no. Please no." Sakura stammered out in a panic as she ran into Naruto's kitchen. Her eyes widened in horror and she gasped as she took in the sight she was praying she wouldn't see. Lying on the ground in a pull of his own blood was Naruto, with a kunai sticking out of his chest.

"Naruto..." Sakura choked out. She quickly ran to him and lifted his body from his blood. She brought him to his couch, pulled the kunai from his chest and instantly started healing him.

"Please Naruto, please don't die." Sakura begged as tears fell from her face and onto his body. She desperately pumped more chakra into him. She couldn't lose Naruto, she just couldn't.

"Please..." Sakura begged as more tears fell onto Naruto's body. As she healed Naruto, Sakura had never hated herself more than this moment. She pushed him to this, she broke him. He was currently on the precipice of death because of her. This was 100% her fault...

She nearly screamed for joy when his shallow breaths started to become more steady. She felt his heartbeat slowly returning to normal. She let out a happy sob and and hugged him tightly to her.

But she wasn't done yet. Naruto wasn't out of the woods yet, he lost a lot of blood. She pulled some blood pills out of her pack and pushed them in Naruto's mouth then coerced his unconscious form into swallowing the blood pills. With those pills, his body would replenish the blood he lost. He was going to be ok.

Naruto was going to be ok. Sakura had never been so relieved in her life. But now she was completely exhausted. She poured so much of her chakra into him... With a happy smile on her face, Sakura adjusted Naruto say this head was in her lap and let herself fall asleep as she played with Naruto's soft, spiky hair.
