It is possible that Ino might have picked one of those family members feet but she was interrupted by escalating shouts from her Jounin senseis. Both women had a little too much to drink and were now close to being at each other's throat. As the alcohol raced through their blood what would have been a normal discussion quickly turned into hurt feelings. Anko being the gossip queen that she is had decided to pry into Kurenai's relationship with Asuma. Under normal circumstances, Kurenai probably would have responded with a blush and calm denial of anything more than a collegue relationship. However, under the buzz of sake, Kurenai chose to insinuate Anko still carried a torch for Orochimaru. Banter had quickly turned into shouts and now an Anbu member was at wit's end trying to figure out how to keep the jounin's from throwing punches.
Ino turned her insoles to view the dispute.
"If a fight breaks out I'm definitely putting you under one of those two's feet." Ino told him laughing. "You know how sweaty Kunoichi jounins would get during a catfight. Plus since they're your teachers I bet you would learn a lot from being their insole."
Naruto did have an idea of what being a pair of insoles for them would be like and he hated the idea. Jounins were always on their feet constantly running around.
"Or maybe you would want to be under that anbu member's feet." Ino suggested "She seems pretty energetic to attempt to stand between two jounins. I've actually seen her without her mask before talking to Kakashi. She's fairly cute."
Being an anbu member was also one of those jobs that required constant running around. Naruto didn't think she would be a much better choice.
