The small town of Springhill was enjoying a cool spring afternoon. Kids were playing games in the street or talking on front porches. Adults were coming home from work. Senior citizens were enjoying their retirement days together.

Then one day, something happened. A grey cloud, almost ashen in color, descended upon the sleepy town. It passed through the town, coating everything with a slick film of some kind.

Almost immediately, the males in the community began to feel weird. They began growing, filling out their clothing as their muscles exploded outward on their frames. Surprisingly, no one felt any pain, just an incredible feeling of strength coursing through their bodies.

Pretty soon, the tattered remains of everybody's clothing were scattered on the ground. The younger males, those in their teens and twenties, flexed their arms, surprised to see the amount of muscle that erupted.

Those of an older generation, men in their fifties, sixties and beyond, were amazed at the amount of flexibility they had now, the pain and weight of age suddenly gone. And those younger than the teenagers, the kids, looked around in shock, unable to process what just happened to their bodies, although they liked the way they felt now, so strong, so agile.

Every guy had also increased in height, with children growing close to a foot, nearly dwarfing their mothers in the process and everyone else growing slightly more, close to a foot.

The women in the community didn't know what to make of the recent events, though those close to a TV set turned it on to see what was going on. On all the news outlets, reporters were talking about a strange cloud that was slowly making its way across the entire world, blanketing entire countries and leaving the men stronger and taller than ever before.

On the other side of town, Mary, a meek housewife with a bruise on her cheek, cringed at the news, since her domineering, and abusive husband, Tom, would now be that much more of an unstoppable force in her life. She weakly lifted her coffee cup, taking a sip, the bruise on her arm still sore.

Back outside, everyone was getting used to their new bodies; well, at least the men were. The women still had a few reservations about what had just transpired and, apparently, was continuing to transpire all across the world.

If a male-run society was pretty crappy before all this happened, how much worse would things be now? How many more wars would start? How many more women would be raped or abused? I mean, before both men and women were pretty close to each other, height-wise. But now, every adult male simply towered over the women, with more than a foot in height separating the two sexes. Now, if something bad were to happen, no woman could defend herself.

The residents soon went back and resumed whatever it was that they were doing before their transformations. A couple making out in their bedroom soon continued, with the woman very impressed with her boyfriend's overall muscularity now and especially his appendage.

A ten year old boy that was picking on his younger before all of this happened, started again, his bigger frame scaring his 8 year old sibling. Pretty soon, he had her pinned to the ground, her arms trapped behind her back. She was screaming for him to stop, but he continued.

Tina, a sixteen year old girl from next door, and someone who had babysat the two kids in the past, rushed out to help the girl. As she approached, the boy released his sister and stood to his full height. The top of Tina's head was barely even with the boy's neck, his muscles bulging with power.

The teenager took a few steps backward, then tripped over a toy. The boy bent down and picked up the girl, who was now screaming for help, and slung her over his shoulder, the girl beating her fists against the boy's back.

The ten year old paid no attention to Tina's attempts to escape and simply walked over to his sister and repeated the process, slinging her over his other shoulder. Then he walked off.

All across the community and all over the world, similar things were happening. Elementary school-aged boys were picking on their female counterparts with more force now. High school kids were more aggressive, pulling a girl out of a crowd and starting to make out with her. The girl was powerless to stop him, so she just allowed it to happen, then walked away when he allowed her to, feeling ashamed.

Sexual harassment claims in the workforce nosedived, simply because the women were afraid of the retaliation that would occur if they reported it.

So...what happens now?
