Almost used to routine by now...Azula moved her feet onto his face and waited for the smell to do the rest. It didn't work at first. Azula become worried.

"C'mon please Whiskers wake up!!" she said tears forming in her eyes. She pressed her feet harder against his nostrils desperately trying to rouse the fallen ninja.
Finally her foot odor had the desired affect. Naruto coughed a bit before his eyes jolted open and he attempted to turn his head as far away from Azula's feet as possible.

"God that still smells awful." He said.

Azula laughed and hugged him tightly. She was so glad he was awake and unharmed. Naruto gently moved out of Azula's embrace before she accidently crushed his ribs from hugging him too hard. He looked at his owner. The last thing he remembered was trying to save her from that falling rock.

"Azula that boulder...you're not hurt are you?" He asked.

The fire nation princess was stunned. Even after everything she had done to him, he had risked his life for her, taken a boulder to the head and still managed to be worried whether or not she was injured. She felt an overwhelming amount of affection for the boy in front of her.

Azula shook her head. "No you saved me!" she told him. "You're my hero!"
Naruto smiled. He was glad he was able to protect her.

"What about the bald kid?" He asked.

"He got away!" Azula said. "After the rock feel he didn't bother continuing the attack."

Naruto got up. "I'll go after him for you!!" he announced.

Azula considered. It wasn't that long ago that she wouldn't have hesitated to use whatever means necessary to defeat the avatar, but now looking at blonde ninja, she couldn't help feeling worried about him facing such a powerful enemy. She felt the two thoughts collide within her mind. The need to catch the Avatar vs the need to protect someone close to her. In the end her affection won out.

"Whiskers wait!!" She called.

Naruto stopped.

"You don't need to do that!" She said. "He's not important to me anymore. You can just let him go."

Naruto thought about it. He suspected Azula was trying to protect him and was willing to give up what she wanted in order to keep him safe. He thought if he defeated the kid it might make his owner happy and he was more than willing to risk his own safety to do it. At the same time Azula still looked very weak and Naruto didn't want to leave her alone. Maybe he should give up the chase for now.
