Ichabod was a little unsure of coming here, the shy, nerdy, redheaded teenager was a bit timid about big social gatherings but his Mother assured him everything would be all right.

The first thing Ichabod noticed was the food table and how good it smelled, with the multiple hams, turkeys and even the suckling pig! He looked at what he had brought to the feast and felt disappointed with himself

"Here I am." He said "At this magnificent feast, and here I am bringing Coleslaw like it's a backyard barbecue.

"Ichabod," Don't belittle yourself!" His Father whispers as he put a big pot of beef stew on the table "Coleslaw is not the worst thing you can bring! I mean your Mother brought nothing but ice water!"

"Just in case we run out of water!" Ichabod's Mother said in her defense "Guests can get very thirsty!"

Ichabod's Father chuckled, Ichabod not sure weather to feel better or not put his coleslaw on the table and quickly back away from the table.

As Poet gave her guests a welcoming speech, Ichabod backed off to the side of the room, he did not look where he was going and backed into someone else
