Your finger hovers over the Direct Interface choice before you decide to choose the "dreams" option. Once you've pressed the number 8, the "screen" in front of you shows at least two dozen icons that represent the most current dreams that Nakii had been having. You pick one of the icons at random by actually touching the "screen" and see what dream you've just uncovered. You see yet another screen with "Interact with the dream? Yes or No?" and another option that asks "What is interaction with a dream?". You blink several times before pressing the other option; you would like to learn more about "interacting" with a dream. The following text shows up;
"Interacting with a dream means that you take part in a selected dream as if you were in the dream itself. While in a dream, you cannot control what happens unless you pick the "lucid dream" option provided when you choose to interact with the dream. The "lucid dream" option gives you partial control of the dream. The length of the dream cannot be made longer or shorter than it actually was. No harm will come to the user no matter what happens in the dream. You may view a dream before you decide to interact with it"
"Interesting..." you mutter, as you return to the previous screen. You press the "no" option and another option picks shows up if you would like to view the dream from your current location. You pick "yes" and the "screen" in front of you goes black for a handful of beats then it shows you the dream you've selected. The dream starts in a city...New York maybe? The skyline of the city gives you vague hints as to what city it actually is. The city looks like any other human city, besides the face that it's entirely populated by fish, sharks and other underwater wildlife. The dream then focuses on what looks like a mall called "Moby Dick's Mall". You blink at the name and wonder how did Nakii know of Moby Dick? The dream goes into the mall and into a small grocery store where Nakii herself is shopping, picking out tins of sardines. Nakii is humming to herself when a hammerhead shark bumps into her and steals her purse. Nakii then proceeds to chase the hammerhead through several stores of the mall until she corners it and eats it. What happens next is very similar to what happens in a certain comic that you've seen on the internet some months ago. Once Nakii had eaten the hammerhead, she goes on a binge and eats everything she comes across. Eventually, Nakii eats the city and the world and....that's where the dream ends. You stare at the "screen" and decide to pick another dream at random. This time, you decide to interact with the dream before viewing it. You don't choose the "lucid" option because you want to be surprised. The dream interaction takes place in the chamber you were earlier, so you you head to the "holo-deck" for lack of a better term.
The dream puts you at what looks to be the bottom of the ocean. It should've been pitch black, but it's not. Meaning you can see the many outlandish creatures that live deep in the ocean. It takes a few minutes before you realize that you're seeing everything by echo-location. You must be taking Nakii's place in the dream as she experienced it. The clicking sounds are coming from you as you walk along the ocean's floor....or swimming above the floor of the ocean. Suddenly, a city comes into view; a city encased in a huge bubble....much like the underwater city from The Phantom Menace. You veer off suddenly, not wanting to get too close to the city. You can't tell if the city is inhabited at this distance, though.
