The only thing to do is to build a hideout yourself. Tired as you are, you realise that is the only course of action open to you. You come to the conclusion that the place where you're least likely to be discovered, and which would give you the advantage of sighting your enemy before they see you, is up a tree.
Somehow, you get the Prince to stand up, and urge him to help you. Together, you locate a tree with a suitably thick branch. You're not quite sure how you managed it, but somehow, the two of you tie other, thinner branches together to create a makeshift treehouse.
Once you're up there, you are completely hidden from view - but you can peer through the foliage yourself.
