Groggily rising from bed, Marcus quickly pulled on a shirt, and jeans. He shuffled out of his room, and downstairs. He then realized, it was a Friday, of his first week of his Sophmore year. (10th Grade) Friday! That meant the weekend! He checked the calendar, AND he had monday off, too!
He stopped in the bathroom, and observed himself. Fairly tall, lean, athletic build, his fur was matted in some places, but the young fox's fur still shone that dark copper red. His muzzle had a slight chisseled look to it, which his previous girlfriend liked, including his dark green eyes. He smiled slightly, "Lookin' good!" he muttered. At least the acne had disappeared over the summer. He then turned around and headed for the kitchen, time for Breakfast! Expecting a nice, home-cooked meal from his Dad, he found a note. It read:
"Dear Mark,
Emergency at the Hospital, had to leave immediately. There's nothing here besides junkfood (Don't think about it, kid!) So, take a twenty off my dresser, and buy yourself something nice before school. See you soon, Kiddo!
Love,
Dad
P.S. See you soon is, unfortunately, inaccurate. I won't be home until very late at night. Sorry."
Marcus thought for a moment. He COULD go buy some breakfast, but, he really wanted some of those home-made cookies his Aunt had sent. Then again, if he did have the cookies, he could buy some more cookies to replace them. OR, he could eat the cookies, get MORE Breakfast, then just say he had the cookies as a snack after school, huh, interesting choice. What does Marcus go with? Where will this story go next? Your choices are below...
