January, the 24th

As you have just read, yesterday was quite a day in which we could fix the rest of the house. Now it is fit for human use; boy's version. We will mostly keep to the living room.

Besides, working is great, because you forget about things past. Eddie just said this is the second time he sees me really happy. And I agree. Like I don't hate myself, nor think about death, nor about things past, you know.

We spent a couple of hours scouting the area, now with our carbines. I was tempted to shoot a dog, but I didn't. That would be evil, but I still don't like dogs.

In the evening there was a giant fire to the south. Eddie says it was a petrol station, and I think he could be right. The fire lasted for the whole night till the falling snow finally killed it.
