This choice: Miguel finds somebody. | Go Back Chapter 8: Ashley (ID #481927) an addition by: Past Member 'light' More by this author January the 8th
It's been a year...a year since the virus killed everyone, but me. Or so I thought...
Today I went to a city that was about five miles away from where I live. I think it's called Lowville, but it doesn't matter. Shortly after I entered the city, I saw a girl crying. She huddled up against a small stone fence. Once I saw her, I quickly ran to her aid. I tapped her on the shoulder and when she looked up, she stopped crying and her face filled with joy.
"Hi..." I said.
"Hi..." The girl said.
"I'm Miguel..."
"I'm Ashley."
Ashley is a year older than me, but I don't care. I'm no longer alone. I guess we can sort of rename the virus to Virus 0.2%. I asked Ashley about her past, but she didn't want to talk about. That was fine with me. If she asked me about my past, I probably wouldn't want to talk about either...esspcially since eveyone I loved is dead. But now there's hope. It's just like what mom said..."Life is Hope".
Ashley has moved in with me and we are currently doing our best to make our house better. We've tried establishing some kind of irragation system, but it only works when it rains. Still, that's better nothing.
If I don't write in this journal...Ashley probably will. If Ashley or I don't write in this journal tomorrow...just pray for us as always. Where will this story go next? Your choices are below...
