January the third

Mary woke up today...

She had left the human world, And had returned as one of them. I had to do it, and today is my birthday....


















I found a hatchet in the closet......she couldn't escape because I tied her up to the bed. She was snarling and growling....I was careful not to let any of her spit or blood get in my eyes or mouth. That's why I wore goggles and gloves and one of those masks like the surgeons use...Or used to use anyway. I didn't want to do it, But she kept trying to bite me.....She wasn't Mary anymore.....right? I did the right thing....didn't I?




I made it quick....I made sure the hatchet went into her brain. I cried alot after doing it.

It feels strange not having anybody around to celebrate my birthday....Not getting any presents or cake. I'm not so much missing the presents as I am missing my friends and family. I miss mother so much....Mary was the last relative alive that I had alive.

I went out today, I saw a few of them outside....They can come out in the sun you know. But at night Mary told me they become faster and their eyes glow red. Mary taught me how to use a gun before she died. And how to use a knife in case I run out. I'd be in trouble for using it on people if there were still laws....Or anyone to enforce them. I had to go out for food and to get some ammo. I also had to....find a new place to live, Since I can't lift Mary's body and I don't have the protection to keep me from getting infected if I touch her, Of course if I did touch her bare handed I suppose a good disinfectant soap or something would do the trick. That's how we've been having to live....We have to wash our hands thoroughly if we come into contact with anyone who's carrying the disease. And that includes people who haven't changed yet but are gonna.

Oops! I'm rambling aren't I? Sorry, Its just that without someone to talk to it can get so boring around here!

If I quit writing for some reason I've either got lost or I've been killed. Otherwise I'll be sure to write every day!
