Rika knew that the answer wouldn't be rosy.
"I was shipwrecked." Sakura stated, taking three seconds to say each syllable. "I was on a ship whale-watching when a storm came up tossing everything this way and that and the next thing I knew I was on a piece of wood floating in the sea." Rika turned to the direction of the sea in the hope of finding the raft or the wreck. "I think the currents carried all the debris away from here; if I hadn't spotted this coast I could've been adrift for days." Rika turned back to her.
"So," She deduced, "You decided to come ashore here and sleep on top of a cliff."
"Well," Sakura replied with a nervous smile, "It didn't look like a cliff to me." Rika looked again at the height of the cliff compared to Sakura's towering form.
"No, I guess not." Rika felt much better knowing that the two of them could freely make quips at one another's stature.
"How long was I asleep?" Sakura asked. Rika shrugged and answered.
"I don't really know. My friends and I were combing the beach below the cliffs about an hour or so after sunrise when we discovered your prone form looming over the seaside. It must've been another two hours before you woke up... at least!" Sakura let this sink in before remarking.
"Last thing I remember from last night was lying down here just as twilight was fading out." Rika thought hard about this. If she slept that long it would've been about two hours longer than normal but this was a giantess she was talking to.
"Do giants usually sleep for twelve hours?" She asked. Sakura felt very ambivalent about being called a giant but simply responded.
"Not really. I was just so tired after the whole ordeal, but when left to myself I normally sleep for nine hours." Rika accepted this information reasonably well until she figured that if Sakura could pull several lengths of rope with the pegs out of the ground at once with just one hand it must've been impossible for a Lilliputian to have covered the same distance.
