You decide that it’s better not to worry you wife unless you have to. Ignoring the tingling in the back of your head, you force a smile.

“It’s nothing MJ,” you say taking a sip of champagne. “Let’s eat!”

MJ tilts her head probably suspecting something is up but she decides not to press the issue. Instead she lifts her glass. “Peter I’d like to propose another toast.” She said suddenly.

You look at her questioningly. Your wife’s bright eyes look deep in thought.

“Let’s make this one to the small things in life…the things that married couples take for granted; The close company, passionate kisses, warm embraces…that kind of stuff.”

You smile. “I’ll drink to that.” Lifting your glass again, you nod. “To small things…”

The rest of dinner is pretty uneventful. Whatever the danger was…it seemed to have past and your Spider Sense has returned to normal. The remainder of the meal is spent chit-chatting with your wife. You tell Mary Jane about your day. How you battled the hobgoblin at the Oxcorp power plant and how he managed to give you a really explosive slip. MJ in turn told you about the current play she is acting in and the demanding director she is working with. (Some guy named Raimi. ^_^;) As the two of you make small talk, you stare at your wife lovingly thinking about how beautiful that she is.

***An hour later…***
With the meal finished. You are clearing away the dishes in the kitchen when you suddenly start feeling dizzy. Your pulse begins to race and your heart starts beating really fast. Steadying yourself against the kitchen counter, you try to shake off the feeling but can’t seem to focus as the dizziness increases. Your vision starts to go blurry and it looks like the room is expanding around you. Your grip on the counter suddenly slips as you feel your muscles tighten and start burning. The floor starts moving towards you very rapidly as you collapse against it. Several dishes shatter around you.

The crash was so loud that Mary Jane (who was in the other room comes in to check what is going on). “Peter?” She calls. She looks down and sees the broken glass shocked. “What happened here?”

You sit up and rub your forehead which is still ringing. You see your wife’s boots come into view “I don’t know.” You respond groggily “Haven’t felt this strange since I was first bitten by that radioactive spider”

“Peter?” MJ says scanning the room. “Hmm…where did he run off too?”

“What are you talking about MJ? I’m right over…” Your voice trails off as you realize something strange. The shards of broken glass around you are roughly your size. Not only that, MJ’s boots look huge.So huge in fact that looking at the one nearest to you gives you the unsettling feeling that you’re looking at a bus; a bus that seems to be coming towards you at full speed, showing no signs of stopping and leaving you just enough time to mutter the words “Oh Cr-
