Working your way up the side of the stove, you head for higher ground. In the back of your mind you note that climbing the small kitchen appliance is now like climbing the empire state building. You make it to the top of the stove and leap over to the adjacent kitchen counter reaching your intended destination.
All in all that wasn’t as hard as it could have been, you think to yourself quickly counting your blessings that none of the stove burners were on. You suppose there are advantages to having a wife who can’t cook. You’d say that you were thankful for small favors but it just seems a poor choice of words given your current predicament.
Having reached the countertop, all it is a matter of waiting. MJ is bound to come by the counter eventually and hopefully you’ll be able to grab her attention. It takes a lot longer then you would like. First MJ returns with the broom sweeping up the broken glass and then tossing it into the trash. You breathe a sigh of relief that you’re not near that area at that particular moment. After that MJ clears away the rest of the dishes from the table and refrigerates the leftover. Finally she walks just close enough to the counter that you think you can grab her attention.
“MJ!!!” You shout waving your arms as she walks by.
Your wife stops and looks downward squinting. She suddenly open her mouth in surprise “Peter??!!!”
You cheer. Finally
"Yeah," You respond waving embarassed. "Hi honey...Uh I think I might be in a little bit of a jam."
What happens now?
