"Then why were you staring at my feet?" She asks.

"Sheer boredom." You lie. "With nothing better to do...I made a game out of watching your pump dangle off your foot."

"What type of game is that?" Helena wonders.

"The type of game a bored student in detention comes up with. In my mind I was wagering on whether or not you would prevent your pump from falling off your foot. I was also mentally betting myself over how long it would take to fall."

"That's silly. Why would I let my pump fall off my foot? Of course I would stop it from falling off."

"So I noticed. But some of those times, it was dangling so far off your foot that I thought it was going to fall for sure."

"Oh you mean like this." She says bouncing her foot so her pump dangles just off her toes.

You secretly get excited about watching the display up close but you try not to let it show on your face. "Y-Yeah" you say.

Your teacher gives a slight smile. "For that all I really need to do is kick my foot and the sudden motion would cause my pump to snap into place."

She demonstrates the move kicking her pretty leg. Sure enough...the pump slaps against her heel just like it did when you were watching her from her desk.

"Nice!" You say. "But how do you manage to read a book and prevent your pump from falling off your foot at exactly the right time?"

She shrugs. "I guess I have good reflexes."

"Not only are your reflexes incredibly sharp...you have to have incredible awareness of what's going on around you and good control of your muscles."

Helena covers her mouth to hide her smile.
"Well...you definitely make it sound like an interesting game...but I'm not sure that I believe you." She says. "I think it's more likely that you have a foot fetish."

"You think so?"

She nods. "If what you say is true and you're really bored enough to invent that ridiculous game then that means my punishment is working and you can go back to sitting at your desk until I let you out of here."

You frown.

"However, if you have a foot fetish and are actually enjoying staying here watching my feet, that would present a problem for me."

"What problem?"

She looks directly at you making you really nervous. "It would mean I'd have to find a different punishment for you. Something that you wouldn't enjoy"

Yikes, you think.

"I guess the first thing I have to do is figure out whether you have a foot fetish or not." Your teacher says.

"How do you plan on doing that?" You ask.

Helena scratches her head thinking. "I have an idea. I was planning to keep you in detention for two hours right?"

"Ugh don't remind me."

"Well, since you seem to like wagering...let's make a deal." She says. "If I can't prove that you have a foot fetish...I'll let you out of detention after half an hour. But if I discover that you lied to me...not only will I keep you here the full time and punish you...I'm also going to give you some extra homework. How does that sound?"

You grimace. Considering that you are lying, you're hesistant to accept her challenge. However, not accepting might just make you look guilty. Also there's the possibility that you could fool your teacher into letting you out of detention early.
