This choice: Let it slide and head home…Batman or someone else will handle it!! | Go Back

  Chapter 11: 40 Winks   (ID #530023)
an addition by: KingsSideCastle  More by this author

Reasoning that attempting to stop a crime while you’re tired out is dangerous, you decide to call it a night, head home, rest up and hope one of the other heroes handles it instead.

One week later…
Using key materials that she obtained from breaking into the Gotham Botanical Gardens, the villainess Poison Ivy perfects a super-formula that makes her completely unstoppable. Using her new abilities, she quickly gains control of the city. Gotham’s heroes try to stop her but they’re no longer any match for her. First Ivy eliminates Batman, then she takes out Nightwing. After that, she easily wipes out Robin and the Birds of Prey. You make a feeble attempt to stop her, but being a rookie hero, you’re completely overwhelmed and wind up being forced to submit to her. For a while Ivy keeps you around for her own amusement as a footslave/pet but she eventually gets bored with you and kills you off too.

By choosing sleep over investigating the gardens that night, you’ve pretty much placed Gotham at Ivy’s feet. Too bad you’re no longer around to learn from your mistakes.
