Being the Human Torch is a blast. The powers and fame are awesome. When you’re not out saving the world, you get to party and chill with the ladies. Luckily criminal activity has been really slow lately allowing you plenty of time for that. Today you have a date with a hot redhead.

You sigh realizing that you better let your sister know you’re headed out for awhile. Sue really cares about you a lot but she can be a bit the overprotective type. You have super powers to protect you. How much trouble could you get into?

You look around trying to find your sister. She’s not in her room or the living room. She’s probably in Reed’s lab with him. You just hope the two of them aren’t going a couple of rounds so that you could be in and out.

Knocking on the door as you open it, you enter the laboratory. Your sister is talking to Reed or least trying to get his attention as he busily adjusts his new invention. "Hey Sue, I was just running to the store to-" You start to say

You sister looks up at you wide eyed. "Johnny, get down!" She yells.

"What?” you say turning just in time to see one of the lasers from Reed’s invention zap you. The force of the beam hits you hard you go flying walls of the lab “Oof."

Both of them run over to you.

“You okay Johnny?” Reed asks stretching over to check on you.

"Ouch." You moan still somewhat stunned and disoriented.

Sue hits Reeds arm angrily. "Reed, what does that cockamamie contraption do anyway?"

"Well Susan, it creates an energy pulse designed to target the neural receptors in order to stimulate the brain and-"

When Reed goes into his technobable, he can go on and on for hours but luckily Sue cuts him off. "Okay, I've heard enough,” She says. You feel her slip your arm over her shoulder helping you to your feet. “C'mon Johnny let’s get you into bed."

Still disoriented you allow her to guide you out following along as she takes you to her bedroom. It’s really difficult to think straight. You feel your sister help you into bed and give you a kiss on the cheek. “Here…rest up Johnny. I’ll be back to check up on you later.”



You open your eyes and start to sit up. “Ugh what the heck happened to me?”

“Well well well…look who’s awake.”

You look over to see your sister in the doorway. You smile at her "Hey sis, what's going on?"

"Reed accidentally blasted you with a crazy laser thingy." She tells you. “How are you feeling now? You seemed really out of it for a bit there.”

"Feels like I’ve been punched by Ben." You tell her rubbing your forehead.

"Hee hee." That causes her to smile. “Well I guess if you’re joking around you’re going to be fine.”

Taking off her boots, she sits down on the bed next to you.

You suddenly feel very uncomfortable and begin staring at your sister’s feet unable to look away from them.

“I was really worried about you.” She admits touching your shoulder affectionately.

“Mmm” you say distractedly still unable to take your gaze off her bare feet.

She notices you staring at them. "What’s wrong Johnny?" She asks. "Do my feet stink?"

"No I love their smell" you say immediately blushing afterwards. "Did I just say that out loud?"

You frown. That was supposed to stay in your head, but why was it there in the first place? Sure, Sue's feet aren't gross and she keeps them in good condition, but you wouldn't call them beautiful. Who am I kidding, you find yourself thinking, they're gorgeous.

You feel embarrassed but your sister doesn’t tease you about it instead she just smiles a little perhaps taking it as a compliment or assuming it was one of your jokes. The two of you sit in the room quietly for awhile but eventually Sue breaks the silence. "Hey Johnny?" She asks examining her feet too.

"What?" You say nervously.

"Would you say that my feet are pretty?" She asks sliding her feet into your lap giving you a better look at them and causing your heart to beat a little bit faster.

"Yes!" You blurt out.

She giggles a little surprised. "What, really? My toes aren't even painted." She says as she wiggles them.

"They would look really good in blue." You blurt out again, this time covering your mouth with your hands.

Your sister senses that something is wrong. "Johnny, we had better get you to Reed."

You just give her a thumbs up to avoid embarassing yourself further.


"REED!"

"Yes, Susan?" Reed asks not looking up from tinkering with his invention.

"You broke my brother!"

"Broke, what do you- oh." He says, noticing you clinging to her leg.

"He's obsessing over my feet."

"Hmm, did he like feet before?"

She scratches her head. "Well..."
