Never could you in your wildest fantasies pictured things going so horribly wrong. Perhaps that was your problem. Lack of vision. Not enough of your dreams based in reality. Sadness alone pervaded the essence of your being. The purpose which you had once defined yourself by, in the form of Black Zeus, to rid the world of super heroes and villains alike, came to an unfortunate end. But before you fell, you shined with the pride of Lucifer.

Black Zeus was an ideal; not a shoddy attempt at infamy or a disguise to commit crimes. Many heroes and villains had fallen in defeat by a hefty strike of your electricity, which you fashioned into bolts of lightning. It was a talent ordained on you by some higher power, to rid the world of those powerful enough to exploit others whenever they chose. And it wasn't a matter of whether or not they had exploited the weak and innocent, the mere ability to do so was license enough to call for their end. If you fell in battle, another potential threat to the weak would have faded away. Practicality was not an issue. You could not lose in your goals. That was... until you met her...

*Que thunder*

It all began with a robbery. The "Amazing Mumbo the Magician" scurried away across the rooftops of the city with 500,000 dollars in cash from the Republic Bank. While he leaped from one roof to another you had flown up from the alley way and tackled him. He shocked you with his wand and you lost altitude, but you never let go. Both of you crashed onto the unyielding concrete of the alley. He went rolling away from you, against his will. Though you took most of the impact, looking up at Mumbo you could clearly see that he showed signs of injury from the landing. It amused you to see that one blow had knocked all the enthusiasm out of him, because he wasn't laughing or joking.

"So I think you've got me do you? Well I've got one trick of my sleeve that'll send you to the circus!" he pointed his wand at me and yelled, "Alakazam!" I do there, waiting for something to happen, but nothing ever did. Mumbo looked at his wand, confused as I was, maybe even more so. Hesitating then no longer I used my super speed to close the distance between us in the alley and struck him hard in the jaw. I would have finished the job right there if Starfire hadn't come.

"Wow, you defeated Mumbo! Wonderous!" She said, jovial as ever, "Come! After we take the Amazing Mumbo to jail, we must celebrate!"

You considered tossing a bolt of lightning at her... but it didn't seem... right... she was just so happy and carefree. Then you looked down at her boots and your mind began to wander. Suddenly you were asking yourself questions you'd never thought about, like, what would Starfire's boots smell like, or how her feet looked. Your whole paradigm was falling off center and you weren't sure what was going on. Starfire turned around, jumping up and down, not unlike a little girl and you formed a thunderbolt in your hand. You would've thrown it but... man, it was difficult. Instead you just fell to the ground at her feet.

Starfire turned around and looked at you curiously, but was soon smiling.

"You must be hungry. Do not worry friend, the Titan's Tower has all the blue food you can eat,"

Starfire drops Mumbo off at jail and carries you to the Titan's Tower.
