Robert thought about it for a second, "I don't know. I guess it just stores it, you know to use it later."
Jess's mind was reeling with the possibilities, "Why don't we make sure. Look at the gun, does it say anything else on it?"
Robert looked at the levers on the gun. On one side he saw a switch for stored energy, "A-ha! It does have a lever for the stored energy. But so what, my sister didn't have any muscle to begin with."
Jess couldn't believe how small Robert thought. He wasn't seeing the big picture. "I'm not talking about taking your sister's crappy little muscles. I'm talking about taking a superhero, or even a supervillians muscles and strength!"
Robert began to get excited at the thought of becoming super-powerful. Why hadn't he thought of this? "You are so smart babe, that is an awesome idea. We could become gods! But where are we going to find a superhero or supervillian around here?"
Jess knew of one. When her Mom Carly would go into one of her drunken stupors, which nowadays was fairly frequent, she would brag about the times she had with Bruce
Banner. Or as everyone else knew him, The Incredible Hulk. Jess didn't believe it until one day he showed up at their trailer. Her Mom had apparently left him a message that she was going to kill herself. That she hated him for leaving her, and a bunch of other crazy stuff. Apparently 10 years ago, they were together for a short time. It probably was insignificant to him, but it wasn't to her Mom. Since he broke things off with her, she had spiraled down into a miserable, hateful drunk. It shouldn't be too hard to convince her to help them.
"I've got one in mind. But in order for it to work, we're going to have to give the gun to my Mom."
Robert did a double-take. He couldn't believe what he just heard. "Are you kidding me? Give the gun to your drunk-ass mother? She'll probable trade it to someone for her liquor"
Jess tried to conceal her anger. She was embarrassed by her Mom, and Robert knew that. He didn't have to insult her, but she let it go knowing that she needed to focus in on the bigger picture. If she got Robert the Hulk's powers, he would be able to help her get another hero's powers.
"Alright...your probably right. I just thought that you would want to get the Hulk's powers. But we'll just have to find another way..."
