Just at that moment, Amanda checks to see if she still sees the ray gun laying on the side table...and it is gone. What? How can that have happened? I should have kept my eyes on it all the time...!

“Looking for this?”

Both Bob and Amanda turn around to see Robert standing in the doorway with the ray gun in his hand.

“So YOU had it! I was looking for this all over the place! I guess you’ve figured out my little secret? How I’ve become so strong in the last couple of weeks. As if school workouts could do that to me...please! Well, too bad the ball is back in my court again!”

Robert adjusts the dials on the ray gun, setting the Muscle Growth dial to +5 and the height to +3. As he is about the aim the gun at himself, Bob and Amanda both run towards him. Bob overpowers his son with his newfound strength, causing the ray gun to fall out of Robert’s hands.
