The ground shook as a massive figure landed in the middle of the Tennis Courts - massive, green and muscled to a degree that remained impressive even with Melissa's new form visible. The figure let out a near deafening roar.

The Hulk had arrived - and not far behind him was a convoy of police vehicles, military vehicles, and no doubt before long, the famed "Hulk Buster" military unit. Anybody with a modicum of sense dove for cover - Amanda and Alan included. But Melissa was on a muscle infused high - she felt so powerful right now that taking on the Hulk seemed like a wonderful test.

She strode across the broken asphalt of the court to where the Hulk stood eyes on a nearby helicopter, his feral instincts telling him that it would be the source of the next attack. He was quite surprised when instead the attack came from some creature tapping on his shoulder to get his attention and then unleashing a punch to his abdomen. The punch didn't really hurt the Hulk - it was much like the annoying guns the puny army men always fired at him. But it did make him angry at the creature who had hit him. He became even more angry upon focusing and seeing that it was a woman who had hit him.

"Hulk smash puny woman!", he bellowed, swinging his arm in a roundhouse arc that lifted Melissa, now looking less confident, off the ground and flung her across the courts. She was saved from the impact of her landing somewhat by coming down against the net of a court, which snapped under the force but cushioned her slightly in the process.

Amanda saw the Hulk move toward Melissa and pick her up in a powerful bear hug and begin to squeeze. The Hulk was determined to crush this puny - well, not so puny - woman. The Hulk was also confused by how good it felt to press the puny woman against his body.

Amanda had to help Melissa, she was sure of that - this was her fault. If she hadn't been messing around, Melissa wouldn't have felt like she could take on the Hulk. And then Amanda realized the gun in her hand might actually be able to stop the Hulk - bring an end to the rampaging brute once and for all.

She set the gun to eliminate the Hulk's size and strength and fired - the invisible beam striking the Hulk square in his massive back. But, the beam interacted unexpectedly with the gamma irradiated body of the Hulk - striking the Hulk was like passing through a lens as the beam became infused with the might of the Hulk and blasted it into the body of Mellissa.
