Women who did not like Arnold were becoming increasingly more powerful.
The strong trio of Katie, Angela and Evie.
The superhuman strength of Amanda.
And now, the veritable goddess of beauty and power, Lila.
To Arnold's conscious mind, his quest to create a powerful girlfriend was dashed - but his subconscious held the philosophy that was part of what had made Katie his dream girl - her complete disdain for him. As much as his conscious mind wanted to enhance his dream girl and deteriorate those who had scorned him, his subconscious - the driving force - wanted to make women into powerful, unstoppable forces that had little or no regard for him whatsoever.
As he continued to stare after the unattainable goddess, a small voice drew his attention earthward - to his one female friend, Tricia - the mousy little brunette. He smiled at the one girl who actually had genuine affection towards him. At least, she did until his power would kick in and change that as it enhanced her.
**************************************************************************** ***************
Lila was almost surprised at how quickly she found herself flying orbits of the moon - but her inhuman mental capabilities had already calculated her velocity based on the parabolic angles of distant stars, able to track even the astronomically minute variations of degrees to them at her distance from them, using the heat generated by her bodies friction with the air, factoring in the decreasing density of air as she streaked higher to fine tune her calculations of velocity and so had determined her flight time to the moon within a microsecond of her initial acceleration through earth's atmosphere.
Still, even with complete computational knowledge of the timing, the fact that such power, immeasurable by anyone but her, was at her disposal, was enough to bring a smile of delighted surprise to her face. A smile that, were it visible to any of the residents of earth - or indeed of the vast number of other planets supporting intelligent life whose physiology she had already calculated based off the distance to the sun, nature of planet and type of sun for thousands of planets that were capable of, and by her calculations did, support intelligent life - would inspire them to creative heights the muses of ancient greece could never dream of.
Based off a reflection she had seen of herself in Arnold's eye, Lila burned an image of her stunning face into the moon's surface opposite earth - precised to the millimeter even at it's increased size as the image covered the entire lunar surface - her mind making the isntant calculations needed to ensure the moons gravitational center was not adjusted by even the minutest of fractions by her artwork. Gazing upon her own image, Lila saw that it was flawless perfection and considered sharing it with the pitiful residents of the planet below her. Where will this story go next?
