Just as Amanda was about to use the ray gun she heard someone yell her name. She looked up shockingly and saw her friend Roxie who was across the street!!

"Awww... great. Roxie just couldn't ride to school like she always does on the day I'm about to change my life." Amanda grunted.

She quickly hid the gun in her bag and quickly put on a fake smile as Roxie crossed the street to her. Roxie was a radiant girl. "You sure it would be okay by your aunt?"

"My aunt's out of town in San Diego for the next two weeks and plus she still doesn't know about my tardiness because she spends half her time getting drunk and getting laid by worthless junkies!!"

"Sounds like where you're headed." Amanda said mockingly.

"Oh shut up!! So, you wanna come help me out. You're still invited to it later but I just need help right now."

Amanda thought about it. She was never one to be fond of skipping school. She looked at her watch and saw it would take the bus another 15 minutes to come. She also pointed out that she never missed a lot of days so one day couldn't hurt. After all she was an A-B student.

"Fine." She sighed.
