Silently Lulu gives Sora her back. Finding this an odd gesture Sora asks "Hey, what's up?" Lulu proceeds to turn to face Sora and puts down a bowl of water, with a small piece of soap, and a small towel on the table. Sora asks "What's this for?" Lulu says "You might want to clean up." Grabbing his shirt by the collar and stretching it, Sora is able to smell it a bit. Needless to say the sweat he produced due to the massage has given his own body it's own aroma, one that needs dealing with. Getting the point Sora proceeds to take a bath while Lulu leaves the house and gives him some privacy. After his bath Sora is able to repose himself for an hour which further allows him to get his energy back.
"You're ready now, right?"
Comes Lulu's voice from above just as to the point as before. Opening his eyes and standing up on the table of Lulu's home, Sora says sounding just as spirited as before "Yeah, come on Lulu! Let's head to Kilika!" Seeing that he's ready, Lulu bends down and places her open palm on the table. Without a second to think, Sora jumps on Lulu's hand. Feeling himself rising in height was a rather unique experience and he comes to a stop when he's face to face with Lulu who proceeds to say "There will be a guard who'll be watching for suspicious individuals entering the ship." Feeling puzzled Sora asks "What does this have to do with me?" "You'll need to pose as one of my dolls to be able to slip through. It would be for the best if we didn't rouse any suspicion." responds Lulu. Seeing her point Sora confidently nods to Lulu who begins to head out of her home.
Without any incident Lulu and Sora reach the beach near the port. Looking at the solitary boat on the port Sora asks "So that's the boat that will take us to Kilika, huh?" Lulu however says in a focused tone of voice "Concentrate." Realizing that she's right, Sora begins to take deep breaths and dulls his own body for the sake of making his attempt to imitate a doll as authentic as he can. Once Lulu feels Sora has done a satisfactory job, she begins to head towards the port holding Sora in the same position as one of her own dolls.
Once on the port, Sora catches glimpse of the guard that inspects the people getting on the boat. Soon enough it's Lulu's turn and Sora realizes he has to remain quiet and still.
"Good day to travel eh miss?"
Lulu in her own typical tone of voice as if nothing was unusual about says "Yes, it is a good day to travel." The guard not even paying attention to Lulu's "doll" lets her pass. Walking up the wooden ramp that connects to the deck of the boat Lulu makes it inside. In a matter of moments, the ramp is removed and the boat begins to head towards Kilika Island.
Heading towards the underside of a structure of the boat where there's shade and where there aren't any people around, Lulu extends her hand from her chest and says "You did well." Sora replies by saying "Thanks, oh and sorry for not focusing. It's just that this is all so...new to me." Feeling no reason to get angry Lulu states "It is understandable." Sora suddenly feels himself being moved high above Lulu's head and stops when he's looking at Lulu's hair. Not getting a real good look before, he's now able to see how she ties and holds her hair with the four sticks. "Get on." instructs Lulu. Sora not sure what's going on does so and asks as he holds on to the center knot of her hair "What's going on?" Lulu explains "I've been carrying you as one of my dolls for some time now. You follow?" Thinking for a moment, Sora begins to recall the pose Lulu uses for carrying her dolls. How she has to use her one hand to hold them would get tiring, especially when she has to hold them all the way up high close to her own chest. Finally understanding Sora says "I get it, I guess it'll be easier for the both of us if I just stay here for a while." Gently Lulu nods and concludes in her standard tone of voice "It would also save us some trouble if people just thought you were a hair ornament." Finding that to be a comical comment Sora laughs slightly and says "Guess you have point there."
Beginning to move, Lulu heads towards the edge of the boat to get a good look at the open sea. Unknown to her, she has caught the eye of a stranger who eyes her from a distance.
Once she reaches the edge of the boat, she rests her hands and elbows on the wooden structure. For Sora, the already large sea now seemed endless. The gentle breeze feels refreshing to Sora. And the salty air begins to bring out memories of his own islands. Suddenly Lulu stands up. Sora looks on and notices he's nowhere near locating Kilika. He lightly taps on the center piece of Lulu's hair with his free hand as he lies against it. Feeling this action makes Lulu instruct him by saying rather sharply "Don't get impatient."
Before Sora is able to answer however, unknown to either him or Lulu a foreign sound is nearing. Laughter and a little screaming. For you see this is the sound of two kids playing. A boy and a girl. The girl was running chasing after the boy holding out a doll trying to reach. They were playing a game of tag and were headed straight towards Lulu. The boy gets behind Lulu and the girl within moments screams "Tag you're it!" The boy dodges with ease and the girl collides against Lulu who had her back turned. The girl wastes no time to say "Sorry!" and runs out of there before being scolded by an adult.
Lulu feels herself losing her balance slightly, but manages to avoid falling. Sora however being small has a harder time keeping steady after this child crashed into Lulu. His position high atop Lulu's hair doesn't do him any favors. So what will happen? Will Sora fall off or will he manage to hold on? Where will this story go next? Your choices are below...
