You knew Spinarak was male from when you scanned it with your pokedex a little earlier. But you didn't know Snivy's gender, and Aron probably didn't either. Just as you completed that thought, Spinarak became googly-eyed and stared at Snivy lovingly.
"Aw, man!" Snow cried, knowing this would make things harder then ever.
Aron laughed, then went on the offensive. "Snivy, use Slam on Spinarak!"
Snivy charged at Spinarak and barreled onto him with a strong Slam attack, dealing good damage to him.
"Spinarak, use String Shot to slow Snivy down!" Snow called out, but Spinarak was too busy staring at Snivy to attack.
You couldn't help groaning. This didn't look good for Snow, even though Spinarak seemed a much higher level than Snivy. Aron kept up the attacks.
"Snivy, Leaf Tornado now!" he ordered. A whirlwind of sharp leaves swirled around Spinarak, dealing heavy damage despite the type disadvantage.
"Come on, Spinarak! Snap out of it and attack, Poison Sting!" Snow shouted at Spinarak.
To everyone's shock, Spinarak turned to Snow and spat a stream of String Shot at him, then turned to Snivy and used a feirce Pin Missle on her.
Snivy was unable to defend against such a strong super-effective hit and fainted.
"Wow, I didn't see that coming. I'm shocked!" Aron said as he returned Snivy to the pokeball.
After getting the webbing off, Snow returned Spinarak as well.

"So Aron, what brings you all the way to Kanto?" you asked.
