But it was then that I actually thought about it. It would be very embarrassing and tiring if I were a pet slave for ALL the titans. Being Raven's personal slave would be an easier job for me.

"Wait, Raven." I said.
"What now?"
"I seriously don't think I could be a slave for the whole team. It's just too much for a little guy like me."
Raven sighed.
"I guess you're right. Your pitiful form right now is too weak to handle even the minor work we need a slave to do."
"Yeah. See?"
"But I guess that means....you're pretty much useless around here." she said. I thought I detected a hint of playing around. I pretended I didn't notice.
"No wait! I still want to be your slave!"

Oops. I think I exposed my true feelings.
"Did you say....you WANT to be my slave?" she asked. I blushed and scratched the back of my head.
"But wouldn't that be beneficial for both of us?" I negotiated.
"Hmm", Raven thought. "But this is supposed to be punishment, not an honor."
"I guess it's both....in a way."

Raven thought again.
"Well, maybe five titans is too many to serve, but one is also too little."
"Where are you getting at?"
"You may have your own opinions about me, but I have a heart (lucky for you). I won't degrade you any more by being a slave to the guys."
I gave a big sigh of relief.
"But I'm still going to have to introduce you to the team. I'm not going to make it a hassle by trying to hide you from everybody."
"Fine." I agreed.


So she took me to the main room where they usually hang out. There was a huge curved couch with a big television in front of it. Cyborg and Beast Boy were sitting there, yelling as they played their video game. Starfire stood behind the couch, watching. Robin stood in the kitchen, eating a sandwich.

Raven came in. I stood hiding behind the wall. She coughed to get her attention. Cyborg and Beast Boy paused the game and turned around. Everyone was looking at her. She called me to come to her, so I walked to her and sat at her feet. Then she explained to everyone that she found "this creature" that was willing to be her pet. She said that she would take care of me and in return I would obey her every command. Though Starfire seemed excited to have another pet, Robin didn't seem to approve. But Starfire annoyed him so much, just like she did with Silky, that he eventually gave in. But he warned Starfire and Raven that if I don't behave, I would get kicked out permanently.

Raven grabbed a sandwich, gave it to me to eat, and pulled my leash as she walked back to her room with Starfire. She was talking to Raven about how fun it would be to have another pet, but Raven didn't seem to be listening. When we reached her room, Raven turned to Starfire.

"Starfire", she began. "How about we just alternate taking care of him instead of having both of us taking care of him at the same time?"
"Ooooh, that would be wonderful!" she exclaimed. "Who will take care of him first?"
"I think we should talk about the rules and schedule in my room."
"Ok."
