“Well, my little slaves, I’m afraid that I must be leaving,” Yoruichi announced. “So I’d better make sure that you can’t escape!”

With that said, she grabbed Orihime by the ear and dragged her out of the room, before arriving at a small room with a washing machine and several laundry baskets. She pulled Orihime into the room and left her sobbing quietly as she went back for Rukia, whom she carried into the room before unceremoniously dropping her on the wooden floor. Yoruichi walked back to the door and turned, her right hand resting on the handle.

“I’m going now, but don’t worry. I’ll be back before long; I wouldn’t miss breaking you in, Rukia!”

And then she was gone, having walked through the door, but not before slamming it shut behind her. Gradually the sound of her footsteps disappeared, leaving the two slaves to themselves.

Rukia immediately sprang up from her prone position on the floor, then suddenly paused, shocked that she could move again. “I can move again!” she exclaimed with delight and ran towards the door, which refused to open. “Odd,” said Rukia. “There’s no lock on this door but it won’t open.” She walked around Orihime, who silently remained where she’d been left by her mistress, like a ragdoll thrown away by a child who’d grown tired of her. Rukia tried both windows, which were designed to let light into the room. They refused to budge, and didn’t even shatter when she threw a wild punch. Turning around, she readied a hado spell at the door.

“Hado #31,” she began but no destructive power was invoked. “Damn her!” Rukia hissed. “Her spell not only bound my body, but also somehow sealed my reiatsu.” Now suddenly devoid of hope, Rukia stood like a sombre statue in the middle of the room, her mind frantically searching for a way out of this trap, but all too often drifting towards thoughts of what Yoruichi was going to do to her when she returned.

Her thoughts were cut short by a bloodcurdling scream, and suddenly she was on the floor, having been tackled by Orihime. “You,” Orihime began as she sat on top of Rukia. “You did this! First you betray our friendship and put me through being your foot slave, and now we both belong to her. I’m going to make you pay for this, before she even gets a chance to!”

Rukia was well and truly out of the frying pan and into the fire, and she couldn’t help but think that this was Yoruichi’s plan all along. She certainly appeared to be a master of psychological warfare, for not only would Rukia have to wait until she suffered at the feet of Yoruichi, she would have to endure Orihime’s retribution first.

However, Orihime was in a vulnerable state, having already been broken into being Rukia’s foot slave, and Rukia knew that recently Orihime had actually enjoyed worshipping her feet. That element was sure to be in her somewhere, and Rukia’s mind went into overdrive as she thought of a way to exploit Orihime’s fragile state...
