"If that happens you have to leave; just leave and never look back." Mary Jane's expression as these words came out was one of extreme sadness, evident by the creases and the return of her tears (Which she made sure had no chance of harming her beloved.) Slight wails came from her lips, as did the rest of her condition. "Do so because...if you don't...I might not stop. It's just....like a drug, you never want it to end."
Wordlessly Peter took several steps forward; towards MJ's monolithic face before him. In her tear streamed eyes she didn't notice him at all, not when he walked, nor when he leapt forward and caught himself on her chin. Thank god spiders jump and stick to stuff Peter thought calmly as he started to climb. He always did this with buildings but...with his wife it was a new experience. Buildings were strong, rigid, set in place, Mary Jane was none of those, or at least...physically speaking. Each time Peter gripped a part of his wife's face it almost felt like his hand would slide off, as if the "wall" was something even he could not climb. But ever stubborn Peter climbed anyway; neither rain, sleet, nor snow would stop the hero and with MJ's waterworks he was definitely getting rain...lots of it. The streams of salty tears flowed down both of MJ's rosy cheeks in thankfully a solid straight line, aside from actual tear drops Peter didn't have too much to deal with. Given that the tear drops were about his size this was probably a blessing but Peter thought nothing of it; he had something in mind and he was going to do it.
Finally he arrived at his wife's nose, which was far far far easier to climb, no different than going up a hill really. And even at his size Spidey made it up to the bridge of MJ's nose. Once there he did the simplest of gestures, he punched Mary Jane right between the eyes. Obviously caught off guard by the move MJ stopped her tears and searched for what attacked her; hardly believing it was in fact Peter until her eyes caught sight of him. "Peter? Did you do that?" He nodded wordlessly. "Why?!"
In response the hero said nothing, he simply started chuckling, which soon turned into full on laughter. "I love you so much MJ but man you can be dense! I get my life threated at least thirty times a week; you think that an angry you will make me run away? I'll have you know that when we got married I took the "Til Death do you part" bit quite seriously." After a few more moments he stopped his humorous sounds and spoke seriously again, yet with a most love filled tone. "I will Never leave you. You can throw me in your shoe forever or eat and I wouldn't do a thing about it. Because I love you, and a true hero never runs from danger."
Mary Jane looked surprised, but soon poked Peter playfully; "Big words from such a little man. I happen to recall you doing quite a lot last night." Even in her questionable state of mind MJ more than remembered her husband struggling in every way imaginable. It was one of the key reasons she was upset.
Peter was unphased and spoke firmly, "Maybe but I have "seen the light" so to speak. You will never harm me; I genuinely believe that with all of my heart. My small.....microscopic heart." He laughed, as did his wife.
When the combined laughter died down MJ looked serious once more; Peter was stuck on what he said; stubborn trait he had, but she had to check at least one last time. "Are you really sure Pete? I mean, at this point I can't guarantee what could be called a "happy ending."
Ever calm Peter shrugged, "I might learn to like it rough. You never know, I mean I did get married to you. As long as it's you I think I'll learn to like it." A blush came to the two's cheeks as the meaning of that sentence arose to both of their minds.
MJ smirked, "You make it sound like I'm bad at it."
Peter laughed yet again, "Maybe you are. At my size you find out stuff about there."
"Such as?"
The typical Spider-Man retort came, "Such as you might wanna invest in a better maintenence plan!" MJ flicked him; a rough equivalent of a playful shove. "Jerk." Peter just kept right on grinning.
Mary Jane sighed, "Last chance, are you sure?" Peter just eyed her in disbelief. "Okay...what should we do now Peter?" She was smiling once more, the tears apparently gone from her face. Her husband restored her faith in him, and in herself with his kind if not corny words.
Peter shrugged, "Well we could spend some time phoning some heroes. With all the people out there intel is pretty easy to come by. I may not be a member of many team-ups but I am friends with most of em."
MJ presented her own idea, "I was thinking we check the town. I mean...he shrinks stuff. It can't be hard to find him. We just have to look for some little stuff, it can't be that hard."
"And what will we do if we find him?"
MJ's answer seemed prepared with how fast it came out; "You kept saying he was weak. I figure with the size difference it's an even playing field now. Of course it's your call dear. Should we call for some info or go on a Molecular Manhunt?"
After several moments to think Peter came up with what he hoped Was the right option. "Alright, I think we outta.... Where will this story go next? Your choices are below...
