Jason smiled meekly at Charles Xavier, a man known throughout the world for his work for mutants; just being in his presence was humbling for this young teenager who until a month ago didn’t even know he carried the X-gene. He just woke up one day and his mutant powers activated and everything changed, now he was in the X-Mansion talking to Professor X himself, it was like a dream come true. Jason wasn’t like those bigoted morons who thought mutants were all evil or the religious fanatics who preached that they were demons, he thought the X-Men were pretty cool. He had posters of Wolverine and Cyclopes on his wall back home as well as a very revealing picture of Jean Grey in a battle torn costume tucked away in his sock drawer. Actually becoming an X-Man should be a dream come true for him, but with his mutation kind of ruined things for him.
“Thank you Professor Xavier, I’m honoured to be here, but I’m not sure how my mutant powers can be useful,” Brad sighed as he stood on the edge of Professor X’s desk. Instead of getting cool powers like energy projection or flight, he got the ability to be stuck at three inches tall. Reduced to the size of a large insect, he knew he wasn’t going to be saving the world anytime soon with the rest of the X-Men.
“Now Jason, every mutant power can be a gift if you use it right and yours comes with several abilities besides your current small stature,” Xavier remarked. Jason winced, remembering exactly what those other abilities were. His body was nearly indestructible, when enough pressure was applied, his body would become pliable and able to mold into different shapes, an ability that had saved his life quite a few times when some people had accidentally sat on him, but nothing too useable. The second ability he had made his shrunken life a real nightmare.
“I’ve asked one my X-Men to show you around and help you get settled in. I know that it can’t be easy to get around at your size.” Jason nodded his head, he had been stuck under shoes like a piece of gum enough times to learn that there is nothing wrong with having someone carry you around. He was still getting used to living in a world where he could be pinned down by someone’s thumb, but he was dealing. When the door opened, he thought things just might be looking up for him.
She was a few years older then him, it was hard to tell the age of a woman when she stands several hundred feet taller then you. She was wearing a pink shirt with a huge yellow jacket over top and a very low cut pair of jean shorts that barely covered her luscious thighs. The blue boots and gloves were a little odd, but not as much as those huge pair of pink sunglasses hanging on top of her head. Her clothes were cute, but her body was gorgeous. She had to be part Asian part White with a sexy figure to die for. She had the sweetest face Jason had ever seen, he was smitten as soon as he saw her.
“Jason I’d like you to meet Jubilation Lee,” Xavier said as she walked towards him. Jason stared up at her, as she loomed over him, unsure about what to say. Her hand swooped down and lifted him up before he could say a word and he was brought right in front of her face. “Call me Jubilee, everyone calls me that.”
“N-nice t-to meet you Ju-jubilee,” Jason stuttered as he weakly smiled back. He felt like such a dork right now, he hoped he didn’t act this way around the other X-Men girls or he was going to be labeled a dweeb by everyone.
Jubilee walked out of Professor X’s office with Jason in her hand, lightly bouncing in her palm as she took slowly steady steps. She glanced down at him as he timidly tried remaining still in her hand. Jubilee smiled down at the tiny new student, usually she didn’t like showing new arrivals around but something about the tiny mutant was kind of cute. When she felt him squirm in her hand, it felt so strange knowing that it was a living person. He seemed so in awe of everything around him as he turned his tiny little head around. He wasn’t talking to her, probably too scared by the new environment and that just made him seem even cuter. She knew he was a person, but the way he was acting reminded her so much of how some adorable tiny pet would react.
“Where are we going first?” Jason finally managed to ask as he turned his tiny curious eyes up to Jubilee’s face. Se smiled sweetly down at him and he felt his heart melt when he saw those sparking white teeth shine at him.
