The mechanical door slid shut, leaving both Robin and Raven alone in the almost pitch black abyss that was her room. Robin stared at it all with interest, he had been inside once or twice but never had he really taken a good look at Raven's room. The decor was as expected extremely gothy, bookshelves filled to the brim, a black dresser and bed, no windows interestingly, black carpet....yeah the place was kind of depressing to be in.

Not that Robin said a word about it, he just looked at Raven with a sort of playful curiousity. "So what game did you have in mind?"

At first the giantess didn't respond, she just took a couple of steps forward and began scanning her bookshelves. "It came to mind when I first saw you, an ancient game created by the Egyptians many years ago." Softly Raven slid her fingers along the books, stopping at one that was dark brown with what appeared to be symbols on the side...maybe hieroglyphics Robin wasn't too sure.

What Raven said though interested Robin more, "When you first saw me? I'm an inch tall what would that remind you of?!" For some reason he felt like asking was a mistake instantly after.

Raven looked at the hero in her palm with a smile, not one full of feeling but the gesture of amusement. "Because, the game was played with multiple players. And at least one of them was shrunken to about an inch tall, maybe even smaller."

Robin's calm demeanor fell apart instantly and was replaced with a sense of amazement tinged with slight horror, "....What did the shrunken person have to do?" His mind was filling with questions that seemed to grow ever more paranoid. The Egyptians weren't exactly known for world peace, a game by them didn't seem too promising. And the fact Raven seemed interested in it....made things worse.

The giant heroine pulled out the book she found calmly and began looking through it with one hand, not even giving Robin a look. "It depended on how the game played out."

"How exactly...is this game played."

Raven placed the open book on her bed and sat on it Indian style, placing Robin just before her thighs. "Well....first we both have to place our hand on the book and focus, a number will appear in our minds and then we share them. Whoever has the higher number get's to choose who shrinks, but since you're already small we can skip that part."

The way this game was sounding wasn't exactly making Robin feel any better, "Okay...what next?"

"Well...the regular sized people choose one of the two moral alignments. Good or Evil. For this game I think I'll choose Evil." Again Raven smiled that smile of hers.

"What then?"

Wordlessly Raven placed her hands on the book, closing her eyes for a moment. Robin stared in slight confusion until it happened, before his eyes in a cloud of black energy the book transformed into a deck of cards! The cards were solid black, atop what appeared to be a thin sheet of paper that looked decreipted.

"Just what kind of game is this?!" Robin found himself exclaiming.

Ever calmly Raven stroked Robin as a means of calming him down, "Relax Robin, the cards are for me to use. I'll pick one and it'll have some form of a task on it. It can range from "Sweep the floors" to "Eat dandruff" but the point is about anything is possible."

Robin gulped a little bit, "And if I don't do it?"

"You suffer a... penalty of my choice. I could wipe your memory, make you smaller, anything I desired at all."

"This game sounds insane! Why should I play along!?"

Just as Robin asked this a sudden light shined behind him, turning around he saw...a second deck of cards? This set was white though, and unlike when he stared at the other cards; When Robin looked at these he felt at ease. Raven lifted this deck and placed it beside the black one, "That's why, for every task I pluck that you perform you also get to pluck a card and I have to do something."

"How does this game find a winner?"

Raven shrugged, "Whenever someone concedes, but they have to have suffered at least three penalties before that. Otherwise people would just quit right off the bat. Now...are you ready?"

Oddly enough Robin was, "Yeah, I'll play your game Raven. And I'm gonna win!" He wore a confident smirk.

Raven smirked back at him, "We'll see...." And she plucked a black card from the deck and began reading aloud.
