Anne is on the phone early the next day to accuse Robin, "You owe me one.". Robin isn't quick to figure out what he is being accused of [an additional sin in Anne's eye], and Anne explains "No girl wants to just be gobbled down like she was available for anybody whenever he feels like it."

Wisely Robin does not try to defend himself, say by mentioning that Cassie had made no objections whatsoever to being treated the same way. He is still young, but has already figured out that furious females do not respond well to calm logic. Far wiser to be sure one is right, and then apologize. "I'm sorry. I just wasn't thinking. I'll be happy to make it up to you."

"Good. You and Jason get over here." Robin does not ask what she has in mind. She may not know, and it likely doesn't matter. Instead he starts work on collecting Jason. This does not take long, and the two are soon at Anne's door.

"Glad you got here," Anne says happily. "Now you can pull convoy duty" With that the two boys become two girls.
Neither is shocked at the change, or the command. Being around Anne means frequent sex changes and one had best get used to it. Robin is the more willing to just go with the flow until Anne gets around to correcting the situation. Jason's attitude is more mixed. Being hot for redheads, he finds a certain appeal to being a hot redhead, and at times he even begs to be turned into Sonja. But he also is the one who tries harder to avoid it when he is not in the mood, which is usually. As is often the case, his opinion on the subject is not consulted.
Convoy duty is also familiar to all parties. No matter how eager the lass, there are just times when it is inconvenient to be eaten, and so the ladies tend to cluster, scaring off most of the boys, and when one persists, there is usually a girl who finds him cute enought that she "takes one for the team", allowing the others to finish their mission of shopping or whatever. Boys can do convoy duty too, even better, but they do have this problem of getting the munchies, and when surrounded by a number of very tasty dishes... So Robin and Jason become female for the trip.

Shopping at the mall seems the goal this time. Anne leads them off to pick up Katie and Wolfie, as well as several over girls and the convoy heads to the stores. Sonja is not in a good mood. Usually she finds a thrill to shopping as a girl that more than makes up for any objections to the sex change or to the shopping. But today, Anne has a list of stores that don't interest Sonja at all. Maybe her tastes are more female when she is Sonja, but there are limits, and when Anne is also after stuff relating to her magic, it seems to be a quite dull trip for Sonja. At least she still has a few comics to tide her over...

So it is that Sonja is outside reading while Anne and the others are busy in a story she is not going to enter. And then she hears... "Well, I didn't expect to run into you here."
