"After all, I don't have any on me at the moment."
"You mean, you don't have the money on you?" you ask.
"Of course not," he said with a grin. "Very few people actually carry money on this planet. Basic needs are supplied for free, such as food, clothing, shelter, water, other people for a social life. The wants cost though. For instance, if you were to ask a meat machine for beef, you'd get ground hamburger for free, Porterhouse steak though would cost you about $10 for 5lbs."
"That's a cheep price," you say. "It normally costs $30 for that much, or even more."
"We have plenty of animals for meat, and even they are reformed after their deaths," Zaffier said with a chuckle. "After all, there are those who like to be fire-breathing dragons who like to destroy places, myself included at times. Things would be difficult if we couldn't replace five thousand cattle every day or so."
"What about clothing?" you ask.
"Typically you wear what you came here in, and it will always be clean and intact in the morning," Zaffier said. "If you go to work someplace that requires a uniform, they provide that for free. If you want something else though, that will cost you a bit."
"And housing?"
"Your personal room is changeable,"Zaffier said. "The human Apartment Room is the Standard, but you can request a forest look, a swamp look, a desert look, or anything. Changing it though, unless it is a necessity, costs."
"That's interesting," you say. Where will this story go next? Your choices are below...
