This is an interactive story containing 16 chapters. Each chapter tells part of the story and (usually) ends with multiple choices. You are a mage in the empirial army, conscripted due to an upcoming war and recieving your training from the other conscripted members of the circle of mages on the march. The protagonist is 16 years old and male. He is responsible (for a sixteen year old).

Magic is to be the mental manipulation of power from a source (internal or universal)
Magic is to manipulate energy (Light, movement, electricity, fire ect...) Matter cannot be created or destroyed but it can be manipulated (eg air can be compacted or drawn from water but not made from nothing also there are limits to this chemical manipulation because the human mind cannot focus on so many different particles (there are no exceptions to this.

The character is sixteen years old so he can fall in love but he is in an army camp so think of where a girl might be found - if so this girl must be his own age.

Violence is permitted but nothing brutal nor anything particularly graphic
It is permitted to state that characters had sex but nothing descriptive
No bad language, I am a bit prudish on this matter. (normally I would accept apropriate use but there are too many different ideas on the meaning of this)
No illegal drugs or improper use of legal drugs.
Being an army alcohol is going to exist but all mages abstain (A drunk mage is like leaving a drunk in charge of a missle silo)
Coffee is an imported drink favoured by mages and the rich
GUNPOWDER HAS NOT AND WILL NOT BE INVENTED!! (This is a very importrant point)
I am a fan of Bioware games and have tried to mimic their theme of moral choices throughout the story which decide who Faust really becomes. Tyrant or Hero.
