You sit at a bar with a drink in your hand and wonder if life is worth living. You are stuck in a dead-end job and you are in despair. You don't know what to do.
A beautiful woman enters and sits down next to you. She smiles at you and winks. "Come here often?" she asks.
"Sure," you say. "I practically live here these days."
She touches your knee and says, "How would you like some fun?"
"What do you have in mind?" you say, wondering if you are dreaming. She looks like a model, in a tight black dress.
"Come with me and I'll grant you anything you want. Just say it, and it will happen."
You stand up immediately and fumble for your wallet.
"Your bill has already been settled," she says.
You look at the bartender, who smiles and nods. "Okay," you say, "thanks."
"Don't thank me now," she says, taking your hand. "I'm only just getting started." She leads you out of the bar. You walk about half a block, and she stops. A stretch limo pulls up, and she opens the door. She motions with her arm for you to enter. You do.
Upon entering, you are suddenly standing inside a large, white room. It is completely empty. She appears next to you. "Where are we?" you ask.
"We are nowhere, yet we are everywhere."
"Huh?" you say, wondering if this is all a dream.
"Tell me what you most desire," she says. "All you have to do is name it, and it will be yours. Anything at all, my dear. Simply say it, and it will become reality for you."
"How is that possible?"
"Let's just say," she continues, staring deep into your eyes, "that I am not of your world, that I am all-powerful."
"Are you God?" you say.
She laughs. "No, definitely not. But I am acquainted with God, you might say."
"Are you from heaven?" you ask.
"No, the other place," she says.
"Oh," you say. "But why did you choose me? I'm not a bad person."
"You were thinking dark thoughts. Those thoughts brought me to you. I can help you."
"But at what cost? My soul?"
She laughs. "You watch too many movies. There is no cost for one wish. You wish for anything, and your wish will be granted. Anything."
You are feeling tempted. Things have not been good for you, and you want a way out. "Okay, if there is no cost."
"Tell me what you want," she says, and smiles. Where will this story go next? Your choices are below...
