Spyro tried to dart back, but the snake struck faster than he could react. All he could do was let out a loud yelp as the snake grabbed the dragon in its coils. In a matter of seconds, only his head remained visible as the green snake wrapped him up entirely, squeezing him softly, getting a feel of the trapped dragon. Spyro growled and breathed a small flame towards the snake, resulting in a tight squeeze that drew most of the breath from his body, the snake releasing Spyro from the tight grip, but still held onto the purple dragon.

Spyro realized the squeeze was a warning, but continued to squirm in the snake's grasp. The dark green snake with light green spots all over his body flicked its tongue, tasting the scent of another dragon. His tail flicked just in time, catching Cynder in the face as she attempted to charge the snake to free Spyro. This resulted in another squeeze, causing Spyro to gasp for breath and cough loudly when the squeeze was finished. "SPYRO!" Cynder screamed as she got back onto all fours, a red mark going across her face.

Spyro grunted and looked towards her. "Don't attack it! Just...go get help! Hurry!" He ordered.

Cynder stared, her thoughts conflicting with her heart. She didn't want to leave Spyro, but she knew that by herself, she couldn't take on the snake over twice their size! Finally, she headed towards the nearest dragon village she could find, leaving Spyro alone in the grasps of a most-likely hungry snake.
