Once his eyes opened though everyone seemed to hold their breath as the beast sat up from his container. Janet made the first move.
"Well, it looks like your awake, my name is Janet" she introduced herself holding her hand out, trying to be friendly. Though, the beast pushed her arm off to the side as he pushed himself upright, though judging from Janet's gasp something must have been wrong. She had her paws up to her mouth muttering some kind of realization to a higher force, or maybe because what she saw might have been just a little too grusom to her.
A metal backpack like object was on the beast's back, scaily skin crawling up the sides signifying that it was infused into the creature itself. The quiet sound of mechanical bladders inflating and deflating seemed to signify that it was the beast's lifeline, though it also seemed to contain much more devious devices as both high voltage, biohazard, and radiation symbols were etched and painted onto the box's exterior.
The beast grunted, very slowly getting up from the pod and opening a small compartment on the inside of the pod. In the container was a large reflective silver jumpsuit, probably made of Mylar (the same stuff used for space blankets) and a coresponding Mylar helmet with visor. He slipped on the jumpsuit, mostly for modesty and the fact that he was cold blooded, though the suit had a nice hole for his metalic backpack to go through.
Once the suit was on, he looked around the room and spotted you, and began to lumber towards your position. Your heart began pounding, seeing such an intimidating creature approach you. Though, the look on his face wasn't of mallice, but of something kinder. He began to speak, but his voice never seemed to escape his throat, and thus was mute. It was then that he quickly turned back to the pod and pressed a button and began playing an audio recording. It was of a male voice, probably from one of the scientists.
"If you are hearing this, than that must mean that both Harvest and out experament Codename Rex have been awaken from their slumber. Rex is unfortunatly an incomplete prototype of our work, unable to survive without the artificial sustainment system on his back. Also, he must be kept in the special Mylar suit in order to sustain a constant operaiting temprature. Though, he will still be usefull for the task at hand, keeping you, Harvest, alive in order to rebuild the human race. Rex has been trained in other world survival, so that if there isn't a current civilization he can ensure your survival if that is the case. He is also trained in the ways of combat and will kill for you and sacrafice his own life to save yours. Hopefully you will not have any need for him, but we can't take a chance in these harsh times. Now, for the important part, the location for the other children. At the moment, their locations are... Where will this story go next? Your choices are below...
